- Responsibilities

Provides property and casualty actuarial and technical services. Conducts actuarial analyses for state insurance departments (rate filing reviews, riskfocused actuarial examinations, and captive and risk retention group application reviews); and conducts feasibility, reserve, and funding analyses for insurance entities and self-insured groups. Responsibilities include reconciling, auditing, and analyzing loss and loss adjustment expense data; evaluating reinsurance coverages and risk transfer; developing spreadsheets; performing actuarial calculations, and determining reserve and funding levels; preparing actuarial exhibits, workpapers, reports, and opinions; and providing peer review.

Began working for Taylor-Walker as a Senior Property and Casualty Consulting Actuary in December 2022.
Mr. Bell has a wide variety of actuarial experience. Most recently, he worked with Safety National as a Reserving Actuary. He conducted quarterly loss and LAE reserve analyses and completed ad hoc reserving studies. He also specialized in loss portfolio transfers and workers compensation. Mr. Bell also worked as a Specialty Actuary for Fortegra. He was responsible for providing actuarial support of rate filings; working with personal auto, business owner’s policies, workers compensation, and general liability; and for completing quarterly loss and LAE reserve analyses for auto, property, general liability, credit, warranty, and assumed reinsurance.
