- Responsibilities

Provides property and casualty, accident and health, and life insurance actuarial, technical, and auditing services. Works with the Consulting Actuaries in conducting feasibility, reserve, and funding analyses for insurance entities and self-insured groups; and in conducting actuarial analyses for state insurance departments (risk-focused and other statutory actuarial examinations, rate filing evaluations, and captive and risk retention group application reviews). Responsibilities include gathering, reconciling, auditing, and analyzing loss and loss adjustment expense data; developing spreadsheets; testing reserve factors; researching underlying issues; performing analytic procedures; completing actuarial calculations and routine reviews; technically reviewing actuarial spreadsheets; and preparing actuarial exhibits, workpapers, reports, and opinions. Also assists in project management and working with the Actuarial Analysts.

For the previous 14 years, Ms. Panaro was employed by Milliman, Incorporated as an Actuarial Analyst. She prepared and reviewed models for loss reserving and ratemaking, and for data analysis; as well as reviewed reports in support of actuarial analyses. Her client database consisted of multi-line insurers, risk retention groups, and selfinsured companies.
Ms. Panaro worked previously for Milliman for 9 years, progressing from Actuarial Student to Associate Actuary, where she gained experience in life and health insurance. She assisted in preparing models for reserving and pricing, and for compliance issues; assisted in preparing pricing for health benefit packages; developed competitive products for PHOs and physician groups; and supported law firms with expert testimony.
Ms. Panaro has also been employed as a math tutor and as an Actuarial Student with The Travelers.
